The County is known for its world-class food, farms, wineries and our killer creative community. We believe that the County is truly the best place in the world to live and visit.
Like every community, we have challenges to overcome. We have high levels of food insecurity, an economy powered by seasonal jobs and, like many rural communities these days, young, capable people gravitate to urban settings for opportunities.
But, resourcefulness and creativity are the County way. Awesome Prince Edward County wants to help make your inspired ideas a reality. Have an impact in your own community! Apply for a grant today!
PLEASE NOTE: Our October 1, 2016 deadline is focused on PUBLIC ART and is enhanced by the support of the Prince Edward County Arts Council. The grant amount will be $2000 and all projects must involve "public art" in any discipline.
Whether it's an installation, performance, festival, mural, happening, or other interaction between art and the public, we want to hear about it. The projects can be temporary or permanent. They must be free for the public to experience (or PWYC/donations accepted). If the project involves the use of public or private property that is not your own, the property owners and/or the municipality must be consulted before the Pitch Party if the project is asked to pitch.
ALSO NOTE: This chapter of the Awesome Foundation WILL NOT fund projects that take place outside of Prince Edward County or that have little to no impact on the residents and/or visitors to Prince Edward County.
