Facilitating Poor Women to Live Vegan Lifestyle
Through this project we will motivate, train, and facilitate 30 women entangled in feminization of extreme poverty and hunger as well as homelessness and function as the breadwinners in their households to live an independent veganism lifestyle. To this end, we will fully support the needy women to self-sufficiently satisfy their veganic food and herbal needs by managing organic farms on pots upcycled from waste plastic bottles and bags. Through this unique organic farms we will facilitate the needy women to farm veganic food crops and herbal crops for their daily self-consumption (in order that they get rid of hunger and morbidity) as well as for sale (in order that they get rid of absolute poverty).
To that goal, we will train and subsequently facilitate the 30 women to: (1) Produce organic fertilizers from food waste and leaves collected from homes, marketplaces, restaurants, gardens, etc. in order to satisfy their pressing need of fertilizers for their organic farms while cleaning up the environment; (2) Manage bean sprout farms on pots made of waste plastic bottles and bags by which each of them will endlessly produce 10 kg of bean sprouts a day; (3) Manage potato and sweet potato farms on pots made of waste plastic bags by which each of them will endlessly harvest 2 kg of potatoes and 2 kg sweet potatoes a day; (4) Manage organic farms of other crops such as gingers, turmeric, lemongrass, celery, garlic, onions, mushrooms, carrots, chilies, and tomatoes on pots made of waste plastic bags; and (5) Recycle the overused pots of the waste plastic bottles and bags mixed with shredded plastic litter from surrounding areas into efficient, better, and selling-well bricks for sale or for building new homes.
