In years past in December, the Chicago chapter has followed the lead of the Liverpool chapter, and distributed money on the street to surprise and delight folks around the holiday season. While the pandemic makes it unsafe to do this in-person, the Chicago chapter still wants to spread the same joy, now digitally. On December 5, the Chicago Awesome Foundation distributed $10 to 100 groups, organizations, community members, and other projects in the Chicago area.
