Library STEM Check out kits
Hands On Gainesville developed the Sci-Map to guide our community to see STEM concepts at work in the world. We provided hands on activities to do before, during, and after you visit natural or community built sites. We design the activities so that they can be done with things that are readily available to households. But there are some sites that are better explored with simple scientific instruments. We are partnering with public libraries to provide kits to be checked out so activities requiring less easily acquired instruments can be accessible to all. We can then provide activities for families to do at sites that use microscopes, binoculars, measuring tools, etc. and have them accessible for all.
