Libereaders along with Serve Your City will hold a 6-week Black Liberation school designed to provide DC youth (middle school/early high school) with an in-depth understanding of Black liberation, social justice, and advocacy. Participants will engage in interactive lessons, discussions, and activities to develop a strong foundation in these critical areas. DC needs to do this because it would foster an understanding of Black history, culture, and identity – particularly as it relates to DC, encourage critical thinking and discussions about racial justice, develop leadership skills for advocating for change, and create a sense of community and empowerment among participants. All of this will strengthen and enrich youth in the DC Community.
