Food for Thought, Inc.
Food for Thought, Inc. provides 360⁰ support for institutional educators to integrate hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) tools and curricula into the classroom setting. Our 360⁰ support program includes: initial consultation, learning tools & curricula integration, teacher workshops & support, funding support, and maintenance & servicing.
These tools are build around aquaponics as a learning system. Aquaponics is the combination of aquaculture (fish farming) and hydroponics (growing plants without soil) in which through a closed-loop water system, the fish feed the plants and the plants clean the water for the fish.
We were founded this past January and for the 2014-2015 school year we have 3 K-12 schools signed up for beta-testing, one of which is Summit Charter Middle School here in Boulder.
