Transgender Day of Visibility
The creators of the Gender Unbound Art Fest, an annual multi-discipline trans and intersex art festival, are creating the first ever Transgender Day of Visibility celebration in Austin, TX on March 31, 2019. The Transgender Day of Visibility event is intended to provide an open space and open stage for trans, intersex, and GNC community members to express pride and visibility in a mutually supportive and creative setting. Transgender community members are invited to draw on a collaborative gallery wall, participate in open mic performance, and write affirming messages on paper tiles that make a mosaic of a transgender flag when put together.
In addition to the interactive art activities, we will provide vital transgender community resources to our attendees through partnerships with organizations like Center for Health Empowerment, Out Youth, TGQ Social, allgo, and Black Trans Advocacy Coalition.
