SHNC are a relatively new netball club in Melbourne's North Western suburbs. Over the course of our first year we have seen a growth of 52% in player participation, which we think is amazing.

What is so incredible about that is that in our first year we have been able to put 79 kids on a court playing netball, making new friends and moving their bodies. We are especially proud that we have been able to field a team of 14-16 year olds, some of who have had some mental health battles due to the lengthy covid lockdowns we have experienced here in Melbourne.

Our aim is to make sport financially viable for families, we do this to ensure no child has to miss out. The way we do this is to have the lowest fees in our area and provide players with a playing uniform. During our research we found a large percentage of kids weren't able to partake in sport due to the high cost of sporting fees then having to pay for a compulsory club uniform on top.

Seeing our member numbers club is so exciting, we want to be able to continue to provide low fees and uniforms to families who want their children to participate in a team sport.
