As a military-impacted school, we serve students who move every 3 years or so. WE (Wheeler Elementary) believe that every student belongs. WE Belong is a project aimed at connecting students with each other through literature. Having books rich in experiences and broad in diversity in the library gives our students the chance to see themselves in stories. Being seen helps one belong. The final outcome is empathy for one another and acceptance. WE believe this will help all our students feel like they belong.
