This project is diverting unbooked council kerbside furniture to people in need. The Awesome grant has funded vouchers for households looking to donate furniture. This stops people leaving furniture by the side of the road that would otherwise go to landfill and also helps provide free furniture for those in need, such as women fleeing domestic violence who have to start over and more.

The application was submitted by the founder and director of Cobber Technologies Pty Ltd (“Uber for secondhand furniture”). She is an entrepreneur with lived experience around transport barriers with secondhand furniture (in the process of being rehomed following domestic violence issues).
