Cabaret the Musical

Cabaret is a comical and beautiful musical that also addresses important topics like anti-Semitism, homophobia, facism and their effects on communities .For our production, we are creating an immersive experience that encourages the audience to think critically about the way the events of Weimar Germany in the early 1930's relate to our own experiences now. We have created thoroughly researched lobby displays with historical context and interactive elements to encourage the audience to get involved, and our goal is to motivate the audience to action and activism to prevent similar events from happening here and now. Throughout history, art and theater have been a key way for stories of oppression to be told, for affirming identity, and for communities to come together. Cabaret is a prime example of how art can inspire audiences to look inward and to action, and we are really working to create something impactful and moving.
