The after school Floor Hockey program is run by the Beeman gym teacher ( Mr. Connerty) independent of regular school activities . This program has been bringing the Beeman community together for 15+ years, is open to 3rd-5th graders and is loved by all participants past and present. The program promotes a healthy active lifestyle as well as leadership skills and teamwork. There are eight teams with about eight players on each. They play 1-3 games a week. Each team has a captain that also acts as coach. Children interested in being a captain must write and present a speech explaining why they want to be captain and their approach to running a team. After the captains are chosen they run a draft, choose their teammates and the fun begins.
