The Piqua Optimist Club is looking for partners to create the Homefront Flag Project for the Citizens of Piqua. The goal is to place a flag in as many yards as possible throughout the City of Piqua on major holidays. There is nothing better than seeing red, white, and blue flying! It would be AWESOME to see that in every yard in town! Our hope is to have enough "seed" money to purchase flags from Colonial Flag Foundation to get the ball rolling. The more people who see the flags, the more interest in the project, the more subscriptions we sell. Piqua Optimist Club members will be the point of contact/salespeople for the subscriptions to the residents of the City of Piqua. There is also an online process where customers can purchase their subscriptions with a credit card. In addition groups like the Piqua Braves, Piqua Athletic Boosters, Piqua Music Boosters, and other organizations in the community looking for a fundraising project will have the opportunity to set up the flags at all of the important flag holidays throughout the year. Our hope is this project will grow more and more every year and we will soon have the City of Piqua filled with American flags!
