Pound Paws presents ‘Honeysuckle Dog Day', a community place-making initiative to help raise awareness about pet adoption & build a strong sense of community within the Newcastle community.

This paw-some (ha ha) project will consist of 15 stalls, live entertainment (dog shows), acoustic music, food (encouraging attendees to sit/eat and enjoy the event), as well as dogs available for adoption.

The main purpose of the event is to raise awareness about pet adoption, by including local rescue groups and pounds in the event, showcasing their pets available for adoption. We will also educate attendees about responsible pet ownership, and include services like; free vet checks, free micro-chipping and much more.
