I am a Suicide Prevention Trainer, certified through LivingWorks. While we hear quite often about Suicide and the need to combat the growing trend, a quick google search will show the lack of opportunities for individuals to learn how. When you do find a training they can be cost prohibitive (one recurring class in the Pittsburgh area is $395 to attend).

I would use this grant to provide free training through out the community. This amount would lend to a minimum of 50 trained individuals walking in our local communities affecting change.
