Every year, Big Group Hug save thousands of items from going in to landfill by recycling second hand goods to donate to babies and children experiencing disadvantage and poverty. Donated goods comprise all of the essential items young children need to thrive and develop. We provide clothing, nursery equipment, toys, books, baby formula, nappies and toiletry items. Unfortunately, many of the basinet and cot mattresses we receive are not able to be cleaned sufficiently well enough to be donated. And these large items create considerable landfill if they need to be disposed. With a commercial grade steam cleaner we will be able to effectively clean donated mattresses for bassinets and cots, which will ensure they're clean and safe for the babies and toddlers we donate them to.
