I work at the Council on Aging in Ipswich. We work with many low income elders. I recently have gotten requests for bedding (some with out a bed!). Many only have one set of old sheets and not comfortable warm comforters.
I will be using the $1000 to purchase new bedding sets, mattress pads and provide rolls of quarters to launder bedding for seniors. This not only provides warmth and comfort, but a sense of dignity to our older residents.
