Adaptive Gardening Equipment for AISD Students
The Rosedale School is a specialized campus within Austin ISD that serves neurodivergent students aged 3 - 22 years old. Last year the school began a new school gardening program that has been a huge hit. However, many of Rosedale's students have limited movement, grasp strength, and/or use wheelchairs, which makes traditional gardening equipment difficult to use. A $1000 grant from the Austin Awesome Foundation will fund the purchase of adaptive gardening equipment to allow students more independence and ensure no one is left out!
