Take Our Students Out to Trampoline Park
Our summer newsletter was taking a little summer break, but we're back to announce that our July grant was awarded to the Veritas Academy in Flushing, Queens to take their seniors to an Adventure Park as part of a series of class trips for all students in good standing. Why? Let's hear from school field trip coordinator LisaMarie Martin:
"I would love to treat students who are on top of their stuff – not necessarily the top academic students, but students who always do the right thing, try hard, show up – to a day at an Adventure Park in Brooklyn where they can blow off steam and have a good time without worrying about the financials. It would make meaningful memories for a lot of kids who don't always get rewarded and don't have a ton of cash on hand. We have lots of partners for stuff like theater and museums, but no funding for just being silly kids."
Congratulations to all the seniors at Veritas Academy for winning this month's grant. We hope you have a great time!
