I started West Rise Basketball which is a basketball competition for people with intellectual disabilities 3 years ago and we now have 9 teams, including 3 teams in mainstream C Mens Competition. Our players learn to play basketball, but also learn to coach, umpire and score. They play alongside mainstream competition and they are quite inclusive and part of the regular competition.

From that Basketball WA asked me to coach the state intellectual disability men's team, called the Ivor Burge State Men's Team.
All players in the Ivor Burge Men's team play in C Men's teams at Ray Owen Stadium in regular competition as it gives them more experience to play well against other State Teams.

West Rise is highly regarded by Disability Services, Basketball WA, Inclusion WA and other bodies as we cater for all levels of disabilities.
