Soil Sisters is a business driven by mission work, and we focus on underserved communities and their access to nutritionally valued food. It is important for us to address the needs of local communities that are lacking resources, knowledge, and accessibility to fresh produce and seedlings. Our goal is to transition a vacant lot located in a predominantly African American community into a plant nursery. Together with other small businesses and non-profits, we’ve organized giveaways of supplies and materials to help all growers gain access to fresh food and fight against food apartheid.
