“Shake Off Seasonal Sadness: A Hip-Hop Dance Party” is a open-to-the-public dance event bringing together the DC community for an evening of music, movement, and connection. Featuring live DJ sets by Stazia Wildesong, DJ WuStyleSupreme, and co-hosted by legendary B-girl, MissChiefRocka, this event will provide a safe, vibrant space for residents to shake off the seasonal blues, experience authentic hip-hop culture, and let loose through dance. Held at the Wooly Mammoth Theater, this event welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds to release stress and lift their spirits. By bringing people together through music and dance, we’re creating an antidote to winter’s isolating effects, while promoting mental wellness through movement.
