Oncology Colorology
We are Girl Scouts in Gloucester troop 66146 working towards our Silver Award. The Silver Award is the highest award girls in grades 6-8 can earn. In order to receive the Silver Award girls must complete a sustainable project that they have worked on for 50 hours. Silver Award projects are inspired by issues we are passionate about in our community. The issue we are addressing with our project is the mental and emotional well-being of cancer patients at the Addison Gilbert oncology department. After we interviewed the Nurse Manager of Cancer Services and a cancer patient of Addison Gilbert, we determined that a coloring book created by local artists and Girl Scouts could address this problem.
