Little Detroit Community Garden
Little Detroit Community Garden is an educational community garden at 5027 Montclair Detroit Michigan 48213 we are on goggle map. The community can plant flowers, vegetables and fruits. They can learn about gardening, build their own raised beds. We have 3 rain barrels and 1 water tote to help save on the water bill. They can come and sit on the benches and look at the beautiful rain garden or read a book from our Leading Library. They can learn how Michigan Native Plants helps with infrastructure and also a shelter for butterflies, bees and birds. How they help with our environment. We also have a Gazebo Garden that allows a safe outdoor environment for block club meetings, neighborhood gathering events or prom send off. We have had demonstration on how to build your own raised beds. We had Arise Detroit Neighborhood Day event on Saturday August 6, 2022 with outdoor games, food, music, resources tables about Mental Health, Recycling Bins, Detroit Main Library, When You Vote I Win, Rain Gardens, Who's House Our House, Goodstock Community, Greening of Detroit. We plan to have a fall feast on October 1, 2022 to give our community an experience of a apple Orchard. We are going to participate again in 2023 for Arise Detroit Neighborhood Day event.
