This year, Mar Vista's brand new Green Team received an Ocean Guardian's grant. The funding included money towards a "sensory art path" that would lead from an existing butterfly mural to a new native plant and Life Lab garden.

The garden is hard to see from the campus, and the sensory path would bring attention to it, literally leading students to its gate while educating them about native plants and pollinators.

We are working with local SPECTRA artist Martina Goulart to collaborate with students to create the 135-foot path and make it a part of the Mar Vista campus. Funding will be used to augment the Ocean Guardian's grant and make the path happen.
