“Girl Talk!” at Pace Center for Girls of Alachua
Girl Talk! is a girls’ empowerment organization that meets weekly under the Black Girl Futures community-university partnership. Operating within an intergenerational model that harnesses the expertise of Black faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, as well as Black girls aged 13-18, our program strives to provide girls with the tools to critically analyze their present circumstances, reflect on their experiences, and envision the possibilities for their future through research, arts, discussion, reading, leadership and planning opportunities, and enrichment trips.
