We host free pop up up events called Lit(eracy) Lounges. These events allow readers from across the literacy spectrum to engage with culturally relevant and representative literature. We provide free comics and graphic novels, activities, and refreshments. Our events provide residents in underserved and disinvested communities (specifically Cleveland’s Mt Pleasant, Buckeye-Shaker, and Woodland Hills neighborhoods) an opportunity to explore the joy of reading. In addition this gives people a chance to feel like they’re in a school book fair extending book ownership through book choice
