My plan is to offer a market of Native American/Indigenous to the Americas artisans, including myself. I’m hoping to have 6-10 other Native vendors who create traditional and contemporary art and craft. In this category there are few events that are focused on Native American and Indigenous arts in this community. This market would serve the purpose of supporting indigenous artists as well as offering the community the opportunity to experience and learn about this culture and it's art. This county offers few opportunities in this cultural category. I believe the community would greatly welcome an event like this. It will be free and open to the public and appropriate for all ages. Plan to have on June 21 of this year outdoors at The Farm at Lavender Hill in Aptos from 12-6pm. Due to my experience in publicity and the publication industry, local papers have expressed interest in giving my event free coverage, which will compliment any paid advertising. They are interested because no one has planned a market like this. I will also be posting the event on several social media sites and online event websites.
