The Family Place is a shelter for families with children. Last year, we incepted Casa de la Bella, an onsite Montessori, that will become fully licensed later this year. Children that come into shelter are often traumatized and coming from chaotic situations. Our Montessori is beautiful and peaceful, providing the nurturing and calming atmosphere so that learning can take place. This grant would help us continue to provide early childhood education for toddler aged children.

This we believe is the only Montessori in a day center for homeless families with children in the United States.
