UPDATE: The Vegan Chapter of Awesome Foundation is on hiatus for the remainder of 2024, and likely a good chunk of 2025. Or final grants were disbursed in July, 2024.
We are looking for trustees! Help us restart this chapter by referring ethical vegans who can contribute $100 and about 2 hours of time each month to support awesome vegan projects. Mail steve@sfvtech.org.
Every two months, the Vegan Chapter of the Awesome Foundation grants $1000 to an awesome vegan project, no strings attached.
We disburse grants using Venmo, PayPal, and cryptocurrency. You must be able to receive money using these methods to receive our grant.
⛔️ We do not fund for-profit businesses. ⛔️
Grant applications may be submitted 24/7/365 by clicking one of the "Apply for a grant" buttons on this page, and following the instructions. Applications must be received before the first Tuesday of the month. We will vote on proposals the following Sunday.
Winning proposals will:
- Reduce or promote the reduction of any form of exploitation of, or cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose. (https://www.vegansociety.com/go-vegan/definition-veganism)
- Describe an individual or collaborative enterprise that is carefully planned and designed to achieve a particular aim.
- Be easily understood by our English-speaking trustees. (We love other languages but we can't learn them all.)
Winners will be posted on this page and notified by e-mail.
