Vegan School Program
Vegan Schools Campaign (VSC) is a project where volunteers from the Podrska foundation visit primary and secondary schools to raise awareness in students of the ethical, health and environmental benefits of a wholistic plant-based diet.
During our visits, we make presentations on various aspects of veganism including health, sustainability, climate-change, the sentience of farm animals, and care for the planet at large.
We provide students with the basic knowledge and tools necessary to make informed decisions about living in ways that do justice to themselves, their fellow humans and non-human animals. VSC was launched in 2019 and reached 2500 children in seven schools in Kampala and Kiryandongo before the COVID pandemic interrupted it. Now as the schools in Uganda reopen, we are seeking support to continue the project.
