Vents Contraires provides material support for people with precarious immigration status staying in informal camps and squats in northern France. Our van is set up to refill tanks with safe drinking water, as well as setting up hot showers and a laundry service during our distribution hours.

For many people, our service is the only regular access they have to take a shower or to wash their clothes. Especially during the winter months, being able to have clean and dry clothes, and take a hot shower, is so important.

We've been running this project for 18 months and adapting it based on feedback from people who access different services. Therefore I really think we're offering a useful and needed service.
