In Mission: The Awesome Foundation exists to forward the interests of awesomeness in the universe. This is the Gainesville chapter of the Awesome Foundation.
In Practice: We are a global, distributed network of individuals experimenting with simple, lightweight funding structures that foster the creation of surprise and delight.
In Organization: Each chapter in the Awesome Foundation community operates entirely independently: there is no actual organization “in charge” of the Awesome Foundation. We are not a real foundation at all!
We award $1,000 grants on a quarterly basis throughout the year (we only award 4 per year here in Gainesville right now) and review submissions in March, June, September, and December.
PLEASE NOTE: Projects must benefit our greater Gainesville community of Alachua County.
