The Curvy Beach Party is a FREE inclusive celebration promoting body positivity and self love for all ages, shapes, sizes, genders, and other intersections.

The event is free for all to attend and aims to create a space for all different types of bodies - especially marginalized ones - to come together, feel comfortable in their own skin, and enjoy themselves on the beach free from shame and judgement and in the company of like-minded individuals.

Things to look forward to at the Curvy Beach Party include music from a local DJ, a 'real' fashion show where anybody can walk the catwalk, professional photo opportunities, selfie stations, body painting, guest speakers, confidence and self love workshops, and of course, the sand and sun!

To my knowledge, this is the very first event of it's kind in Canada! It was inspired by plus size pool parties that have been held in the United States and featured on the Hulu show 'Shrill'.

We are hoping that if successful this year, we will grow and make it a much larger and annual event.
