The idea was simple. Lots of folks don't have the opportunity for a proper Christmas dinner so Awesome Antigonish teamed up with Myers Tea Room to purchase 50 meals which would be able to picked up or delivered on Dec 23rd or Dec 24th to anyone that wanted one.

The offer was advertised on Facebook and via word of mouth of people who knew of people in need.

The funds used for this awesome idea were the last remaining funds from the year and Tea Room donated a dozen extra to get us to the 50 mark. Individual Trustee's (Bob & Bill) also covered an additional meals so not a single person was turned away. NishEats provided a free delivery service for anyone unable to do a pickup.

This idea was inspired by Irene MacLeod, a tireless helper to our community that recently passed.
