The 13th Annual Austin Asian American FIlm Festival is going hybrid in 2021, with virtual film screenings and three drive-in screenings throughout the month of July. For the Centerpiece film screening, a grant from the Awesome Foundation will help make it extra special by engaging an Asian American musician or performer to be part of it.

This project will make Austin awesome by giving additional performing opportunities to Austin's Asian American and other BIPOC performers. We believe in the power of representation and being able to see Asian Americans in non-stereotypical careers in the arts, on screen and simply just hearing them makes a huge difference in ensuring that Asian American art and culture creators keep being able to do their work.
