Sweet Medicine is a volunteer program, with an Indigenous "Traditional" Elders Council. We are a grassroots program, that has been active in this area for over 10 years.

We recently found a space to provide day activities for people that are homeless in the Fargo/Moorhead area. Approximately 80% of the homeless population in this area are Indigenous.

This space is free and is located in the Downtown Engagement Center (DEC) in Fargo, ND, which offers a variety of services, for the people that are chronically, homeless.

Sweet Medicine was invited to come in, to provide cultural activities or events, to connect and provide a missing link in lives of many Indigenous people.
