Mic Drop is an "ALL the Way Open" Mic Community that meets once per month, every last Sunday located at The 418 Project in Downtown Santa Cruz. Our Mic Drop! community is built on a desire to build space where difference is celebrated, not only just tolerated in a brave safe space, but also in an inclusive environment, particularly for those persons who have been excluded from venue access & the arts. We seek out and support a wide variety of creators who might otherwise be on a journey of sharing their creative endeavors at various points of the process & from a variety of shared perspectives. Our intention is to come together to provide a safe space for unseen, unheard groups allowing folks to realize they are valuable, worthy of being heard, seen, & have great potential.
Funds will be used to offset costs of producing these events including paying featured artists to perform.
