ROLE:KAWL is a weekly competitive open mic and variety show that celebrates artistic expression and community engagement. Hosted at Cheer Up Charlie's every Tuesday night, this event provides a welcoming platform for artists across all disciplines—including poetry, music, drag, comedy, and more—to share their talents with a supportive audience. Participants have the opportunity to compete for a $50 cash prize and a featured spot in a future show, further encouraging their creative growth and exposure.

A grant from the Austin Awesome Foundation will fund 20 weeks of prizes for the participating artists.
