Since January 7, 2025 we have been responding to the Southern California wildfires with local disability partners. Our Disability and Disaster Hotline has been fielding constant calls/texts/emails of disabled disaster survivors and families needing disaster assistance, disability supplies and equipment, and support navigating the disaster. We have been collaborating with local disability partners such as the Centers for Independent Living in the impacted and surrounding areas by supporting with technical assistance and guidance of emergency management systems.
