Successful Smiles of Texas is on a mission to stop dental decay by promoting oral health education and having a mobile clinic visit the middle and high schools to give preventative dental services to students. Many Austin-area schools have a large amount of disadvantaged students without any dental coverage, or the parents can't afford to take off of work to take their child to a dental appointment. The Austin Awesome Foundation's $1,000 grant will cover enough supplies for a full dental exam, x-rays, and cleaning for 288 Austin children.
