I Support the Girls
Homelessness affects every community and girls and women are the fastest rising segment of the homeless population. Women and girls who find themselves homeless shouldn’t have to worry about finding bras, much less proper menstrual products. Yet they wear the same bra for years (causing health problems) and each month have to make a choice between paying for meals or buying a box of tampons.
Every woman should have the ability to maintain her dignity! This is our mission- to restore dignity and self-respect to thousands of women.
Through more than 50 national and international affiliates, we collect and distribute gently used and new bras, and menstrual hygiene products to over 350 vetted homeless shelters and organizations that distribute to women and girls in need.
We also provide a rapid relief response to natural disasters, distribute mastectomy related bras and items to low-income women dealing with breast cancer, and provide transition items to people in the gender transition process, when available.
In the last two years, we have impacted over 180,000 women and girls across the country. In 2018, our goal is to distribute 1,000,000 total products, expand the efforts of our existing 51 affiliates and open 10 new affiliates in different cities across the U.S.
