A Propos
Welcome to the grab bag!
Selecting the "Any" option on the submission web form puts your application in the general pool, viewable to all Awesome Foundation trustees worldwide.
In practice, very few chapters will look at these. Some chapters prefer to fund local projects or are drawn to certain topics. It's a good idea to also submit directly to the chapters closest to you or those who've got a record of granting in your area of interest on their chapter page.
The Awesome Foundation is constantly growing, so submitting to the "Any" category means that your information will be available to new chapters as they launch. In the meantime, feel free to apply to as many chapters as you like. We recommend starting with the ones near where you live and/or will be carrying out your project.
One additional option is the Pollination Project. They are structured very differently than Awesome Foundation. They may fit your project as they grant to any location. Pollination Project gives $1000 every single day. They emphasize new projects that plan to grow and projects that are helpful for others. They are vegan and though they don't require a vegan angle, they love animal-rights issues. They do not fund groups with paid staff, even a half position, or other well-established projects.
