We’re developing plans to launch a charity food truck project, to help combat food insecurity in various neighborhoods throughout Southeast Raleigh. Through the project, we’ll distribute hot meals and grocery bundles including fresh produce, canned foods, and nonperishable items to individuals and families living in low-income census tracts, per data obtained from the USDA and the Wake County Social Equity Atlas map. Our goal is for the truck to visit neighborhoods on a weekly basis, beginning in November 2020.
