Sandy Peaches is a relaxed social hang out for LGBTIQA+ people at Newcastle Beach. We meet up monthly to have a cuppa, go for a swim and connect. Sandy Peaches was born out of a desire to provide an alternative way for people to make new queer friends, aside from pubs, clubs, parties and apps. So much of our social connections come about through apps and online worlds. Sandy Peaches is all about providing a space where queers can hang out with other queers, in a safe, relaxed environment.
Our project is awesome because it's really fun to make new friends, be together in the sun and hang out with no strings attached. It's awesome because I love bringing people together, especially queer people!
