We are singing for a ceasefire in a new massive choir convening in Chicago, August 18th through 22nd!  

This movement launched in the Winter of 2023, with cheeky protest carols and heartfelt folk singing for a ceasefire in Palestine and justice for everyone everywhere.  It quickly evolved in cities across the U.S. as way of singing, yelling, and incorporating music, dance, and visual arts into our most creative direct actions, all by completely amateur participants finding joy and meaning in our shared cause.  

This convening is our first big collab by St. Louis's Ceasefire Choir STL and Chicago's Songs for Ceasefire.  We are hosting more choir members from midwestern cities like Detroit, Ann Arbor, Minneapolis, Springfield, IL, and hopefully much more!

We are chomping at the bit to get together for a super powerful convening of us all, so we can build a wall of sound together!  We will swap music in English, Arabic, and Hebrew.  We will teach out the bops and bangers we have perfected all year and we will do it in several public locations around Chicago, for everyone to join and enjoy!
